i agree that it definately has that 1980's alternative sound...
reminds me of the gear daddies or the lemonheads more than the 'mats. although it does have more of a 'mats edge to it, it doesn't quite deliver the heart and hook of a replacements' tune. but still cool in style and looseness, so good job, and i want to hear more.

i think i would have said "long way home" the first time instead of "long way to go" in the first verse... although, maybe it's too predictable that way.
"so far north it's south" is a good line also. solid song and vibe, just needs some time for your talents to catch up to your potential.

Paul's hand can squeeze anything of mine that he wants, guts or whatever...anytime!
This song almost seems like an experiment to see if the band could capture a 'mats vibe, and it's a fairly good outcome, but it's a little too all-over-the-place, and I'm not sure what it's about...a bit self-indulgent, but cool vibe. Off-key singing doesn't matter that much, but I'd like to be able to make out the lyrics better...

well, why don't you go drop another 5-star vote on your own song to make yourself feel better?

Featured?...really?? I guess I prefer on-pitch singing and something a little more creative. Sorry.

kinda got a clash-meets-cracker thing where the singer sings sharp on the long notes to sound angrier (no, i'm not dumping on the vocals. sometimes it's perfectly appropriate to sing off pitch to create tension in a song). good song, i like it, but i'd love to hear it with a better producer. could use just a little bit of polishing.

This band makes me want to buy drinks all around. The Replacements would be proud.

Does share some qualities with the 'Mats, but the sound is derivative without that ability to grab your heart and guts and pull them up in your throat. Wish I could make out the lyrics more clearly. Maybe this isn't your best, but I like the vibe. Needs a stronger hook also...

great band name. "#@&%! the short cuts" is a good line. vocals are a little awkward, especially on the drawn out notes, good tune.

does sound like the replacements, without that annoying, "ouch, paul westerberg's hand is squeezing my guts" feeling.
