I would throw some reverb on the lead vocals o it doesn't sound like he's singing right in your ear in a vacuum chamber. Reminds me of Chemical Brothers, but I would add some organic sounds and delays...

Guitar tuners only cost $15. Lo-fi doesn't bother me so much, I've recorded on crappy gear myself, but everything else has to be "on" to pull it off.
