I CAN NOT stress enough how happy i was to see a new song here from Russell. Soothing melodies, an easy to listen to vocal delivery, more of the same Russell i totally dig. Levels are solid, the mix is great. This is fun.

This is good enough i suppose, can't say anything stands out about it, and you can take that for whatever it's worth, although i'd call that a more negative notation than positive. Sounds like i'd hear this playing in the background at a nice restaurant, which tells you: There is a market for this music! I just happen to be pretty far outside that target demographic. You should jam it up with Esteban.

Although i'm admittedly a huge Elysian Fury fan, this one just doesn't do it for me. On a lot of this projects tracks it's obvious that everything is digital, but i feel this is a little too obvious, the quick attack digital drums kinda have a "Cheesy" feel to me, and that may very well be the intention, but for my own taste, the content, quality, and delivery here fall a bit short.

Hm, on the first track i didn't look at who this pairing was.
Let me just say, while this isn't perfect...

Poolhouse I am really really stoked to hear you improving as much as you have. Really cool man, went and listened to the first song i'd heard that you posted on here and you've come a long long way. Good times, glad i checked this out.

Well, right out of the gates this guitar riff was really awesome. My girlfriend even said "Holy crap, something on this page doesn't suck!"
Harmonies get a little mixed up in the transition, but i understand that this is a fun little pairing, kinda fits. Haha no offense, but this is a bit of a trainwreck around the 2 min mark. Fun none the less, i cannot stress enough how much i LOVE the dick-dale esque guitar work here.

Hot & Cold (The New Jersey Song)

I give this 1.5 stars due to the composers ability to write a decent song and structure a somewhat interesting melody at some points.
I've never talked to anyone from New Jersey that wasn't a total #@&%!, and that's no reflection of this song, just something interesting i've dealt with in my life.

Your voice is actually halfway decent, but i gotta admit the musical part of this reminds me a lot of mariachi music. The bassline is pretty simple, stale and the tone on almost every instrument here is pretty hard to listen and have a positive statement about it.

My step-dad plays in a bar cover band, and records music like this all the time with drum machines on his keyboard, with his little Tascam so i wont accept the argument that it's impossible to take the time to have a little bit of self editing attention placed toward the project in front of you.

Swing and a miss.

I think the last one of hers i liked a little more, but oh man oh man. That voice is something else, i could imagine an album of hers would be something like what the first Foo Fighters album i heard (Colour and the shape) was for me. No bad songs in the bunch, just songs that aren't as good as the best one's on the same cd, heh.

as you guys probably guessed, (at least paul, and he was correct) this is in fact my newest project. For the most part, i wrote the basic structure of the music, after i laid out my spastic strumming patterns and chord changes, my guitarist does his best to make sense of the #@&%!ery presented. i am the rhythm guitarist, and of course the lead vocalist. I'm really really, glad to hear such positive things from you guys, espicallly elephant, thanks a lot for the kind words man, and i know i gotta be moving in the right direction when your ears perk up a bit, it doesn't happen often!

Thanks again guys
