Don't Eat The Snail
MeatMachineII: yeah, it would be no easy feat. I don't know that a similarity to the iron butterfly part takes away...

Thanks a lot. This is another one from my Hairy Love Gum days. I had never realised the Syd Barrett reassemblance in this song but now you said so I can hear what you mean. This was one of the first songs I played with this band. With Herman Scheltinga on drums and Henk Gruppen on bass.

Thank you all. I must admit that I was never happy with the sound of my vocals here. It was sung over a small transistor guitar amplifier. It worked in a live setting but not as a recording. This was the way we played this song that I had recorded on my own the year before and that I posted here some time ago: http://redfizz.com/rf/song.aspx?songid=348888
Well Paul I can't subscribe that simplification rule in general. I 'm glad there are and that there have been a lot of bands, musicians that were looking for new frontiers, I'm interested in so many different sounds. I do admire a pure song but can also be thrilled by the weirdest musical colouring.

Wow thanks Richie. I'm still surprised how well these 'oldies' are being received here. That's so great and where was Red Fizz back then. So good to find such a sweet and attentive audience here. Thank you all for listening , commenting. This was from the second demo of my band Hairy Love Gum, recorded in December 1996. the intro came from a Leadbelly recording.

I'm watching the Deadwood series these days and all episodes end with a dark acoustic song. This could be one of them. This is way cool, Nathan

Just me, passing by to hear it again, I already voted... It's an intriguing good enjoyable tune.. after 4 hours of digging through the backstage last night, this was the one I remembered this morning.

At last, I got a rejection reason. This is a big moment for me. I'll always remember this. Thanks Qualcomm! I'm finally one of them, I can leave the backseat of the bus and move freely now.
