i like the star trek synth patch in the intro.

shades of an earthier or maybe murkier ry cooder, this actually reminded me a lot of ry's "feelin bad blues". yeah, the one from the movie where the karate kid goes bluesman.

i like it as an intro.

nice intro, and nice building , dramatic dynamics happening in a not overly cliched manner, to my thinking. i enjoyed this.
My Universe

mmmm nice and no cares. just appreciation of life. not too sure of the bridge part, as it seems to be a bit too much od departure of the at ease vibe. still , altogether, much appreciated.

i dug the first 28 seconds of dark churning intro where it seemed the possibilities could be limitless. after that, it seemed a little decidedly limited.
Forever Betrayed

the intro sounds like a hitchcock movie music piece. and then the beats and the vocals kick in and it's all pretty standard "i miss you and never appreciated you" stuff. not that there's anything wrong with that. heck i think i rather like it overall.

lush and perfect, yet still catchy and memorable despite that. sort of like alan parson's project.

great groove, the vocals as they sit in the mix are worse than nothing.

yeah. i like this sorta surf/spy music, that always hooks me in, and this is done well, the techno bits took some of my personal appreciation away, but that is me.

leif mulch intro, oh wait it's not an intro. i can't listen to much of it although it's interesting too in that way sorta

Wow thanks all for the kind words. I haven't been around here much lately due to illness that has affected my ability to play guitar and record stuff. This is one of the things I'd recorded back last summer while I was still relatively healthy, and it's just one of those little scraps I just pretty much considered a throwaway. It's really nice to hear people's appreciation.
Oh and sorry to disappoint but the singer with the cool hair didn't have anything to do with this, just me, the lowly used-to-be-guitarist.

Victoria (Kinks Cover)

i always thought "victoria" did kinda sound like ccr. with a quirky Davies brother injection. i also once not to long thought I'd shoot myself in the face if i ever heard this song again (we have tons of kinks fans here at open mikes etc, yeah i do know, it could be much much worse). anyway that hasn't happened. good version.
Autobiography '96 (rough piano demo)

i like this with the piano a lot, but i do miss the low bass part (from the guitar version) and i think that'd sound really good on piano, at least inserted once or twice in it. i did hear one spot where that part was briefly alluded to on this one, i think. i like the tempo switch up here.
