What We Live

Kind of felt like the song is a build up to something that never happened. As for personal preference I enjoyed the softer singing style, reminds of Blue Oyster Cult or something similar to that. Maybe I'll let this one fester in my mind for a while before I vote....

Hey, I mentioned that I wasn't qualified, and yes Doob I don't own any rap, you are correct. Just heard what I heard, but you got enough good reviews here and therefore you are doubly welcome to disregard my rant, I just can't resist talkignabout each song even though i have no idea what I'm talkign about sometimes. Cheers though, you obviously have more drive than I do.

hmm... I don't know guys. I think this one is kind of flat. Seems like every song on this site so far has had a 3 star or better rating! Everyone is a tad too happy to please. The overall feel of this song makes me feel like I heard 800 times before. I may not be qualified to really rate this one, but that's why were all here right instead of wiritng for roling stones? The song is repetitive and he sounds identical to eminem, to a point where it wouldn't surprise me if it was his favorite artist. I agree it has a nice feel and its good on the ears but I would like to hear somethign a tad more original.

Props to you guys for the song, it is very nicely done and obviously a great production. I'd rate this like I rate movies. A good movie that does it for me is a 3 star movie. 4 is a great movie and 5 is unbelievably good. 2 stars is alright, sort of "run of the mill" and 1 star should be unwatchable but since I like to torture myself I sit thorugh it anyway. You guys are so close to a 3 but there seems to be no soul in this. Could just be me but it just seems like a song that should be a jam band song but instead it wants to be a hit. Confusing to me, not sure what it's suppose to be. I guess if its suppose to be just a hit, then I'd give it a 2, but if it's suppose to mean something and I missed it, but it was pointed out to me and then I understood it, I'd give it a 3. Don't know if I am even remotely helpful.....

The song itself seems alright, seems done well enough, just too slow. I agree with whoever posted earlier that it could be played faster. I was always waiting for the song begin but it just seemed to sort of drone on. Although I agree with Gibney that it is not so gay, it is still a bit and to me its the speed that makes it so.

Can't make an educated vote on this one, but will vote nonetheless. I always do think its cool when artists make 50% of their song tough and 50% feminine. The contrast always reminds me of how much I hate people. I liked it but the harmony sections could use a woman's touch.

I liked it more when i left my house this morning. Decided its just too cheesy. I like the idea of younger singer/songwriters trying to pull off country except this seems like someone who hasn't had enough bad luck and doesn't have enough hatred and disdain for the world yet. Also seems a bit too much like early Dylan but without the soul (or bad luck maybe). Its a good listen though and the song is actually pretty good, and I will keep it in my party shuffle probably.

I liked this song a lot. Great site btw, my wife (hehe) checks it religiously everyday. Song has a nice vibe to it, something I would see in a John Waters film, and if it was in a John Waters film, the elvis bit would work perfectly. This is the first song up that I actually ewant to hear other work they have done. Oh, and I hate that if I navigate to another page, it stops playing... and I always forget to open a new window to alleviate the situation.
