my friends parents listened to groups and artists that did this music back in the early 90's. I didn't like all those really really talented people and I don't like this.

I kinda like this song - but I'm torn, I feel like it could be 30-45 seconds shorter. Feel like that break-down in around 1:36 feels like a trainwreak

Is that a vocorder or advanced autotune techniques? Any way - over a minute in and I'm bored.
2:50 - waiting for the song to launch
3:45 - waiting for the song to launch...
4:15 - ummm okay.

reminds me a lot of something Clash might have done on Combat Rock had come out in the late 90's/early '00s.

That said, I really don't like much from the clash after London Calling - however, this has enough going on to be featured, I think - not to mention the good production quality.

This song is well written old timey pop/country jammy mixed with adult contemporary. And while it's most definitely not anywhere near my thing, I can appreciate the proficiency. I would say my biggest complaint is that it gets kinda repetitive.

first off - man I find it hard to listen to music without some kind of percussion or driving rhythm - the coughing at the end is nice though... I mean, it doesn't need to be a percussive instrument per say, but there should be something to lock in the time signature of a song, otherwise it's all over the place - okay there are exceptions to every rule (A bunch of the Sid Barret songs, by way of example) but that's a general rule. This song sounds like it could be a very nice song - tempo, length, structure are all good - but the recording fails to really capture what the song could be and some of the playing is sloppy, not loose but sloppy - big difference... anyway - stars.

Do I hear the Mike Patton influence? Well good. Also, I dunno why... reminds me of failure a bit.

Good job.

Ok - so I'm a gianormous Tom Waits fan. Let's get that right out of the way - when I say gianormous I mean I own 21 Tom Waits albums - including the stuff with Crystal Gayle.

So yea, there's that obvious comparison there - but I mean #@&%! it - this is a fantastic song. It's intimate, interesting in it's simplicity - especially the singing guitar note dynamic.

I'm going to listen again right now

Ok enough gushing.

solid country/folk jam - something about it reminds me of being on a beach, so hell that's something. Not my thing, but I appreciate the song-writing and the talent. Good job. Stars.
