just in case anyone's wondering, the song has been remixed and mastered, with new vocals and some minor edits here and there, and the song is now available through itunes, amazon, all those kindsa places.

you can listen free at any of our facebook, myspace, or ilike pages. here's a link to make it easy:

thanks IE! I'll work on the bass / bass drum thing when this gets a proper mix, by proper mixers.

um, gross!

but funny. especially liked lines such as, "don't need a bookmark to find my place," and "punish me with library fines."

ok who'd you hire to play guitar at the end? that was great.

I liked when it picked up and got country-rocking at the end.

needs more something, and less of something else.

it's just not that memorable.

I agree with most of darkfriend's comments, but not his stars.

if it's that bad, quit.

the solo at 2:50 is nice, and the best part of the whole thing.

bands change photos all the time, so rather than just say, I love this photo, I'll describe it for future generations. The photo is of that classical pianist muppet on Sesame Street. He was always working on his great masterpiece. He's wearing a button down shirt and a tie, he's wearing glasses, he has a mop of messy hair. He's sitting at the piano. On top of the piano is a small white bust (mmm...) of some composer, Beethoven probably? Anyway, this muppet's shtick was that he was always working on his great masterpiece, but he never seemed to be able to finish it. He's bang his head on the keys, "oh I'll never get it right!" or something like that.

this song is ok. well put together, performed, recorded. but as a song kinda just ok.

but the photo is awesome.

I like the lo fi and the melody, I'd like to hear less effects on the vocals.

the tweed coat reference was the best part. you know, the one that fits me well. I liked everything except the doubling of the line "not gonna give you change if you're not gonna change" with the voice box thing.

yeah aaron and IE said the two catch comments I was thinking, "Graceland" and "Americana". with the vocals I'm also gettin a Springsteen vibe too.

it's pleasant. I don't need anymore clarity on the vocals, I think the mix is perfect.
