Problem for me is the melody is forced to fit the words, and not the other way around, resulting in a muddle. Not to mention the words are not really the stuff of song, and at times just meander and can't be heard.
The music is crafty, but muddled, too.
Good skills that need to be honed.

Whatever happened to the Asparagus Man?
That was a potential gold mine character.

This one, not so much.

I agree with the minister's comments. The song is too good to hurt our ears.

Beautifully turned out. Nice tune.
I'd love to hear this with a female singer.

Choose well and carefully, and you won't have the problems described.
That's the best romantic advice you'll ever get.

Nice novelty tune.

I like the straight ahead, no b.s. direction of this.
Not real original, but then sometimes that's not a deal breaker.

Saying this as one who can't sing much better, I like the song, but I'd like it a whole lot more with a good vocalist. Charming, as is, of course -- but it could be more than that.

Loose. Probably the only way this would work. Shows creative sparks here and there. I'll give it an F for fearless.
Honestly, if this was posted by some of the more known fizzers here it would be praised to the no end for its uncompromising, lo-fi, hang around long enough and you'll likely achieve that status, too.

Push, not pull, emotionality. Well done, but stiff.

I'm a fan, so hard to be too critical, but.. the words here sound a little like something you'd hear in a grade school Earth Day program or something like that.
And the melody is a little ho-hum, as noted.
But well done musically.

Way too much corn in this recipe.

Hear lots of real creativity, effort and discipline in this.

I don't usually like octave jumping melodies, kind of a cheesy way to form a melody. But the beginning wasn't bad in spite of that. And then the falsetto parts came along and just ruined it for just sounds goofy from that point on.
I'd rethink this whole concept.
You guys are better than this.

This thing just bursts with your usual buccaneering coolness.
Wish the guitar part at the end went on a little longer.

I could hear a steel guitar running through this.
The words are little wooden in places, for a sensitive song it needs a little poetry.
Harmonies and playing are stellar as always.
