Time to pick another member of the band to sing. (sorry)

Song seems to drag throughout.
Excuse me I've got to go to (*yawn*)...sleep.

No, I meant that it's sad that most people can't appreciate this type of music and are blissfully content listening to a simple 3 chord pop song.,...pushed at them by mass marketing with a "song & dance".
There was a time when it didn't matter if you could dance to a song.
Now, beat is nearly as important as melody. (What melody?)

Your dad listened to King Crimson while you were growing up!
I loved this! This is a shining example of "old art rock".
Dude, seriously, you've got the right idea.
Problem is, not many people can dig this.
I've created several pieces like this with other players. Only one turned out this good.
If this was 1967, these people on here would be showering you with complements.
But, most people would rather hear Maddona now. Sad.
I seriously want to hook up with you for some recording, online.
We may not make a million, but it will be some great fun!
Hope you're available!

Since this is just vocals & guitar, a lot hinges on the vocal.
As for the song, it's OK. Not the best song about Bi-Polar disorder I've ever heard, but kinda quirky.
Your vocal is like Chris Robinson and you need to learn to use it to your advantage. It seems you're trying to sing certain passages out of your reach, resulting in amature sounding phrases. I'm not a singer, but I know when someone is doing something beyond their means.
Keep it simple, you have a good need to do any vocal t#@&%!eze acts...if you know what I mean. (at least, not without a net)
Good quality on the recording, too. Coulda used a smidgion more guitar.

Very well produced/recorded/mixed.
All great performances.
The song itself is good, kinda old style pop (which I prefer), reminds me of some newer groups too.
Cliche? Yeah, well, most pop is...and if it's not, it doesn't become POPular.
Hence the title "Pop".

The distorted vocal really ruins what could be a good song.
Although it's more like Styx (Dennis DeYoung) than Journey.

Lead guitar: First Grade (public school)

The lead vocalist either needs to sing in a higher register or just stick to backing vocals. Lack of imagination, too. Got boing quick for me!

Good song, like the guitar playing.
Poor recording.
Singing needs a retake.
Not bad, not great either.

Well, This started out sounding like a well produced production, done in a pro studio. I was impressed until the singer could barely spit the words out. Verse needs a re-write. Less words would flow much better.
Aside from that, when the chorus hits the first time, the distorted guitar is TOO LOUD! (01:03 mark) This was surprising, concidering the sound quality up to that point. A real "miscue" on that one. Was it guitar? Or was it keyboards run through a guitar amp/simulator? I couldn't tell, too distorted!
Vocal quality and harmonies were great!
The lead break didn't have the overbearing distorted guitar...maybe the lead track had rhythm playing on it too but was set at a high volume for the solo section, making the first chorus too "guitary". Just my guess.
Song sounds a lot like Bowling For Soup, which I like stuff like that, so....

But the overall package could use a bit of tweaking. The production itself could hit the radio as is, (save the distorted rhythm and speed singing).
*Special note to the singer/songwriter*
If you want people to sing along with your stuff, make it easy!
A simple hook is all it takes. We don't need to know every detail in the story.
Check out some old Aerosmith lyrics. Talk about abstract!

Oh! What Happened?
No, seriously...
Your recording equipment is obviously low quality and you can't afford any better.
Either that, or you have NO idea what you're doing.
If I could give negative stars for production, I would...
Be that as it may, you write fairly well and your vocal isn't gonna run anyone off...
But next time you have someone play lead guitar, make sure they practice with the song a bunch before recording it.
You got the idea across, but this is barely listenable.
Caveman recording.

Dave Mathews sure has influenced a lot of writers lately.
Even though I'm not a big "Mathews" fan, I realize the quality in the work and time spent putting this together.
Worth 3 stars just for the recording and production quality.
I give one more for songwritting.
Originality and vocal quality keeps you at 4 stars (sorry!)

I had to go to another website to hear this. Wouldn't play here.
This song was obviously made by young people.
Several components are either missing (like chords rather than just notes on the keyboard) or were poorly executed. The vocal sounded thin, need more low-midrange and effects. (sounds like a better mic would help too).
You have the right idea, just not the time under your belt to make what most would call a listenable recording.
Overall, the mix & production wasn't too bad.
Keep at it! You'll learn. (I did!)
