In spite of all the imperfection, or maybe thanks to that loose approach, I like this very much. Very charming and evoking
Time well spent

A study of a new song. Mostly improvised while recording. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Fun, good for a sofisticated party with cocktails and champaign. Vocals almost over the top, but certainly welldone

I've recorded this song this morning, so it's really fresh, to leave something new to Red Fizz after posting so many tunes from the old days. This was a very quick recording with my laptop mic and also mixing it on the laptop speakers. I wrote this song around 2001 but never made a proper recording of it.

This was the live version of a song that I had recorded a year before on my own with my Tascam 4 track: http://redfizz.com/rf/song.aspx?songid=348749. the first track of my 'Winding Road' CD. I formed the Lost Soul Charity Fund to present this CD live. Thank you for listening and commenting
Nobody Promised

This song sounds as pure and genuine as a song can get. Totally deserves all the feature votes, With a 'studio production' it would be as beautiful and tearful as any song that Gillian Welsh for example has recorded. I've listened to it now a couple of times and it grabs me each time. It's the way Pauline sings that I truly believe her. The lyrics are simple and very effective. Even the 'I never promised you a rose garden' has a sadness to it that it makes it totally convincing to me. How much more heart and soul do you want from a singer?

Jurgen, the singer, wrote the lyrics. We wrote the music together. I played piano and some of the soundscape. Jur played the cello and Jochem cooperated on the scapy sounds. Thanks Paul.
