sounds like good music lives in here somewhere, but it's just really too hard to differentiate any kind of instrument from another.

Sounds kinda like john cougar jammin in a living room.

that distortion automatically turns me off to this. The clean is more punchy than your distortion, it creates an odd effect for the drive of the chorus.

i agree with conquistador here.
The lead is nice at the end, but for the most part it kind of just sounds like "That guy at the party"

Oh boy. This is a great display of musicianship.

But, why the cookie monster screams?

I scream, i get it, i understand.

But, cookie monster?

There's a point to where you will push your vocals past the limit of comfort for the sake of tone, and maybe im just being overly critical, but i feel that happens here. I guess the singer is doing it well enough, but you can tell he "wants" to sound deep, not that he just, sounds deep.

to be honest, i wasn't aware you could talk out of tune until now.

i have to agree with IE.
No matter how lo-fi, how low quality the instruments, that's fine, you're making an effort, and i appreciate that.

But there's no reason to not tune your instruments. Ever.

vocals are very uncomfortable. It sounds like you were singing outside of the style it should really be in, so you wouldn't peak the levels.

Your urge for more low end has created an effect that makes speakers sound blown, tone it down.

interesting, but as far as im concerned there's far too much wrong with this to call it a feature. I'm not sure how everyone else feels but to me these vocals aren't passable, back into the booth with you. Eliminate some of those low frequencies, keep trying the parts until you hit the note, and bring those vocals up to the front. You're doing some interesting lyrical stuff here, make it shine.
