I realize that my statement may seem arrogant. But I don't mean listening is hard. The music presented here by and large is very listenable and enjoyable to my tastes. I just meant the commitment in time. Though playing the authoritative smart guy does provide satisfaction, it can not match that satisfaction derived from personally creating something.

Its hard to be a critic. I always feel a heavy responsibility to be accurate and maintain standards. Though I might start writing initial impressions, I would never post without meeting a three listen minimum. And review on crummy work computer speakers? Never! Reviewing just seems to demand a huge amount of commitment. I tend to do it out of a sense of obligation, a payment for the opportunity to have my own material heard and considered. And that is where my enthusiasm lies. I have been writing and recording a long time. But fizz is like the finishing touch. When you paint a painting, it is never really finished until it is hung on a wall. So I haven't been around much because I have nothing to hang on the wall. I will soon for sure. I have just been hunkered down in the woodshed. The IrREGULAR ELEPHAnT ReCORDS label sampler finally being finished, I feel at a new starting point. I want to bump things up a notch. Hang around and keep an ear out. Success, failure, or some grey area in between, are my potential fates. I am strongly optimistic. Inside-out nostril face man, and The Sky's Disguise are both old and new (respectively) EdGAR MuRKuS BrAIN SeDUCTION. And they represent the ideals that were conceived with EMBS so many years ago on what pop music should be. Of course there are many rooms in the house irregular. It takes time to visit them all.
