this song tickles my nostalgia nerve. something about the line/melody of "all the roads are starting to look the same" makes my heart yearn to twist.

Now this song is making me nostalgic for the glory days of 2006. As Woody Harrelson asks in True Detective, do you know the good years when you're in them?

- You don't need a real drummer, if you just did a little more to mix up the loops you've got. (Of course, a real drummer is always best, but not always an option.)

- The vox should come out of the mix a tad more.

that's really well done. all the parts go together nicely and it's not overdone. i could see it being the background music for a roadtrip/driving type of scene in a movie or show. it just moves along at the same pace the whole way. the vocals fit perfectly, i thought, also

This is REALLY good!! I like the lo-fi drum beat and the ticky percussion that kicks in and out - the beat synced tremolo keeps everything nice and tight. I'm a big fan of Aqueduct and the Beta Band and this rubs me in all those ways!!

Pic is too cool. Neat sense of melody. Reminds me of the Byrds. Would like to hear the Replacements play this song with stronger lyrics. A real band feel would go a long way. Lyrics too first personny. Too many personal pronouns. Nice chorus.

also, i'd like to say that i really, really like this song. i have listened to it repeatedly in the last hour and i find it to be very neato. the guitar chords are a familiar progression, for some reason i was thinking it might be from a bread tune. my cats are hiding.

ok, i don't like this song. It reminds me of bad Postal Service or something. I think it's the tone in the girls voice that bothers me, it sounds like something you'd hear on one of those cds where the kids do the cover of all the popular pop songs or something. Or mabye a barney musical interlude, i duno, i can't place it, but the vocals just sound very uncomfterble. I do like the recording quality though. It's very warm.

This is a great example of why we'll never replace drummers... Whole new song here if that Drum machine was gone.. I think it would go places then. The singer is good. Needs some character infused in her voice, nothing a good producer could not do...Harmonica is a neat idea, but man,, what with theose tones? That is another example.. Just gotta get real players.. and if they are hard to find.. Stop buying a $3.50 moca at Starbucks everyday and hire good players.. There is something down in there with this song.. Just needs players....

I don't know why, but I like this song. Hell, while I am being honest I might as well tell you I am a closet BeeGees fan. There I said it. Anyway, even though this song harkens(sp?) back to the 60's, it does not have that awful feel of trying to be something that other retro songs often do. Good clean fun. I will DL it to my playlist.

The vocal melody is nice, but the song becomes trying by the half-way point because it doesn't go anywhere. I like when that synth percussion thing comes in around 30 seconds, but the song never transcends that moment. There really needs to be more to differentiate the different sections of the song. The harmonica is nice, but again I was waiting for more. There's a fine line between dreamy and plodding. Overall the song felt like a long intro that never developed into anything more.

Oh, there are some bad bass notes in there, most noticably at around 40 seconds.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this song to go along with that picture haha. I love this! A catchy, 60's style melody with a synth drum machine backing it up. It started off reminding me a little of the song "Kiss Me" song by Sixpence None the Richer, but then the drums and vocals kicked in and I was won over quite quickly.

I'm not sure how much I like the guitar tone, though, or maybe it's just too high in the mix?

Cool stuff!
