Animal Tropical - Fusing the wry and witty songcraft perfected by Steely Dan with tropicalia, rock, Animal Tropical's sound is super-danceable and, for all its quirkiness, goes over big with booty shakers of all colors, creed, and class.

It's overwhelming. I'm so busy swimming upstream through the music I don't have the energy to decide whether the lyrics are poignant or not. As a genre, I'm pretty sure it's a well crafted tune. It makes me bewildered, though.

Not voting on these guys anymore. Competant and well done as always... definite 60's era folkrock going on.

Ok, it sounded like you were more making a commentary on what type of music got favorable praise instead of saying its not your thing.

These guys are consistent...each song is well crafted and played with gusto. As I've said before...it's not "my thing" but I bet lots of people would like this most muchly.

Excellent point TB. I wish they'd come around here. I'd beg to open for them, then if they said no, I'd still come to the show :)

Man, is it even fair for me to rate you guys? My new favorite band. I'd drive to see you, and that says a lot, cause I'm a lazy bastard. I think this is (and so are the others) better than second stage. QC, when do these boys get a feature damnit? I honestly like you too much, I'm not going to vote.

Ok, I mean this as a complement...
In my head I invision muppets dancing around.

What a nice little toe-taping, felt arm swaying, googely eye wiggling song for a Friday afternoon to get you in the mood to drink beers and jam with your band. Thanks

your little feat stylings are winning, even for those of us not into that stuff. this is my least favorite of your submissions thus far--the other 2 were more idiosyncratic, & the horns need energy.
