Animal Tropical - Fusing the wry and witty songcraft perfected by Steely Dan with tropicalia, rock, Animal Tropical's sound is super-danceable and, for all its quirkiness, goes over big with booty shakers of all colors, creed, and class.

Favourite so far, a fun spinning mix of country a splash of zydeco with a dash of rockabilly.
I like you fellaz!

Apparently you're going for Country Joe and the Fish. If so, then I would give you a decent rating as a tribute band.

The lyrics could be louder/clearer, the sound could be cleaner and tighter (it sounds like you guys are capable) and although I'm sure that the harmonies (and the entire song for that matter) are/is meant to be loose in a fun kind of way it would be nice to hear the bass and drums together accentuating various parts.

Lots of fun with cool instrumentation, but intentionally strays into the screechy and annoying, and succeeds too well at that. We just needed a few alley cats mating to complete the scene.
Would be great live and drunk.

One can tell from the group photo that these are fine upstanding gentleman. This song lacks the slick production of a Thrills album but is certainly just as thrilling. God, if only radio was this good. I haven't listened to the rest of their material yet but this song hints at the future of rock and roll. While the record companies believe they have doomed the masses to the dregs of substandard melody, the internet has quietly snuck in to the rescue. Thanks guys.

didn't know tiny tim had music beyond that little ukelele gig he did on laugh in or everywherever... this makes me want to dance all crazy like in old movies... with my tongue hanging out and arms flaying about...

C'mon Guys, this is Tiny Tim slowed down to 33 1/2 rpm...
Am I the only one that hears this? This is a fun littile diddy, reminds me of 1920's recordings, bad scratchy & a megaphone for the focalist, but it does have some snap & pop to it...

Can't really see what everyone sees in this.
It could tighter performance wise.
The vocals are average.
The production sounds a bit tinny overall.

I laughed. I cried. Ok I didn't cry.

This is charming, well played, and endearing for all it's cracked-voice, strange vocal mixedness. Fun stuff!

haha, i do believe you are the goofiest bastards i've ever seen. Which makes listening to this a little cooler. I totally agree with anna on this one, haha as weird as that may sound, that's not a bad analogy of what this song conjurs up. There are definatly a few parts of this that could be a little more tight, but these guys are fun, it made me giggle a tad. I like how it gets kicked up a notch, but still stays a little goofy. The distortion track could be a little better, but this is a pretty neat track.

Great for an indy film staring Bill Murray as the retarded pizza delivery guy who falls a the struggling actress with a lisp. This slides in nicely to the "drive off" scene at the end.

This is my favorite of theirs yet. Normally I say something like "I appreciate it but wouldn't choose to listen unless cornered"...not so here. It's looser and stranger...I dig it. You guys have an abundance of creativity and can really play. Cool.

god bless you goofy bastards. i never thought i'd say this about one of your songs, but i think it should be tighter, with denser instrumentation (ie, like, more sound in there; it's too sparse).
