Huge fantastical potential... to be blunt, the vocals are lacking.

What can I say? Some fat ass drums would be nice with some good crisp high end. The guitars could be meaty-er and you could certainly loose some distortion on the bass and tone down the low end aswell.

Give me some mother #@&%!ing emotion and I'l give you one kick ass song.

The basic nut is brilliant. The drums just don't cut it and, at least one of the vocals needs to project more. I do, however, like the way all the other parts seem to just appear in space, during the refrain. Tres 3-D. Boost the 2k on the vocal EQ.That might do it. This song is worth pushing a little further.

I love the mix and how the guitar abruptly shows up in the left channel. I like the pace of the song, a sorta speed of life thing, The verses are catchier than the chorus, which was the only disappointing thing about this track.

starts off promising but doesn't go anywhere. It's fine to have a song with redundant bass and drum lines, but the other elements of the song need to do something to distract me from the monotony, and unfortunately nothing here really does.

I should learn to proof-read. The stereo split would refer to the vocals. The synth thingee came in the (right).

I am drawn into repeated listens.
"Yo, elephant likes everything." I am simply in awe of how much better this music is than that sold for mass consumption. For this fellow, I'm sure this is a masterpiece. First. That fuzz bass is to die for. Its a real axe but the distortion sounds like retro synth. Just more nuance than you can get from a key. I was hypnotized by the hat. Some of us aren't really drummers. We just play one in bed. When programming drums, it is hard to think like a drummer. In my case I just try to find some sort of syncopation regardless whether it is playable or not. Often with little success. This is a simple closed thingee riden' the offbeats like Wild Bill. The kick must not be as quantized as the sn and hat because it grooves like a monster. Maybe the groove comes from the slightly sloppy but aggressive bass on top. I don't know. I usually hate the sound of a gated snare. But for this it is the right sound. The vocals sound nice and are NOT mixed too far back for my taste. At least for this'n. The stereo split on the chorus makes the whole song. Nice job. Maybe the dist gtr on the right could come back just a squinch. The clean in the left is soo fat and beautiful. Also the punch in on the right is rather abrubt. The synth thing (left) halfway through was a nice touch. I am usually for random noise, but the end does need chopped off. I keep hitting play but only succeed in pausing it. I am not sure what this song is about. Maybe the composer will shed some light. I am old and my hearing is going and I thought the lyric went "I had a hit, I took a piss..." and I thought the song was about getting busted for drugs.

Been trying to remember the name of "that band?" That Band?! Oh, aaronlife. Oh dear. The Pixies should be grafted onto your musical DNA. Stop what you are doing and go buy thier first three albums. Lock yourself in a room. Play them several times. Sing along until you can no longer speak. Take two aspirin, gargle with salt water.

Play them again.

Repeat.

yeah, this is cool, someone mentioned pixies, i've been trying to remember the name of that band since last week, thanks, and yes, kind of reminds me of that...

also reminds me of a casio digital guitar i bought in the late 80s, i would press the drum button and the elec guitar button or something like that, and jam like this song for hours...

my lyrics weren't so good as a teenager, these are better, but i don't remember these...

i just dig the sound, it's a cool sound.

This is kind of cool in a dream pop way, but like, it makes me want to go listen to Lusk... not that it totally sounds like them, but that's it.

this song is like the opposite of that ghost brother song that is featured today. it totally screams dude-in-his-room (not a bad thing). as far as a drums sound goes, it's a good one. i feel like i've heard the verse melody before but that's no shock - it's not close enough for me to recognize so you're in the pink i guess. nice ending hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

And I'm having trouble processing this song. I like it. I like it a bunch. But I feel like I did when I first heard The Strokes. That those clever little hipsters were manipulating me somehow. That's how they get ya, those slick, ironic little sob's. Maybe that's a different expression of your commerical-anxiety, dreamsinaudio. The fact that somehow it's catchiness is calculated to seduce you into doing things you normally wouldn't do, like buy a Cabriolet.

My brain is telling me to be wary around this flirty, attractive new friend. But my heart's all, "you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool..." So I don't know.

I think this song is going to abandon me for cooler people in the future and I may grow to resent him for it later. But for now I'm going to keep hanging out with him cuz he's, like, sooooo dreamy.

I really like the muddy distortion on the guitars, they give this song a raw feel that are probably its main attractive quality to me. That riff you're playing is quite enchanting, too. I wanted to like the vocal melody, but from what I can understand of the lyrics they aren't doing much for me, and it gets very repetitive in a way I could see myself being annoyed by after listening a few times. That chorus I could totally hear in a car commercial. (Man, it makes me sad that I would even say something like that, why is the first place I think of hearing catchy indie music these days is in car commercials? Maybe I just watch too much TV...I'm so uncool...)
