Animal Tropical - Fusing the wry and witty songcraft perfected by Steely Dan with tropicalia, rock, Animal Tropical's sound is super-danceable and, for all its quirkiness, goes over big with booty shakers of all colors, creed, and class.

Would definitely like to hear more of the vox in the mix. It's enjoyable to listen to, but it won't bring me back for a second listen. I would love to comment on the lyrics, but I just couldn't hear or understand them. It gets into the vocal masturbation realm after a while. It has some decent potential and it has a sound tha makes me wish I was in church, just for a minute or two. Okay, it definitely should have ended at that first stop. There's just nothing to take the focus of the listener, as it is now. Give my ears something to focus on and it won't seem so long.

I really like this song and its got a nice taste of groove in parts....

I personally would exploit that hint of groove from the lad guitar and give him more on this song....Take a bit from the piano....

Could be greatness!!!!!!

this is great, but the vocals get a little lost, i'd just turn them up in the mix a little, they're nice. the song is immediately appealing and soothing. i love this band, i love all the instrumentation and harmonies. you guys are awesome, but i have no idea what all the words are, i think if i could follow the vocals well without struggling that the song could be more memorable, because the song and the sound needs clear words to shine. that being said, it carries me tirelessly throughout it's length and is highly pleasant, as the Band might (per earlier reference). just fix the vocals in the final mix/version.

This is a really nice song. Very melodic and beautfitul. It does get a bit long, and i'm not sure if there are enough distinct changes to keep the listener's attention for so long, but a little work could make this song a real classic.

falls short of hitting some satisfying point of crisis. the singer needs to start belting, or some such crescendo. feels like it should build, in the vein of 'let it loose' by the stones. maybe add some horns in there at the end? it just doesn't feel filled out, but i like what's there.

These guys pick up where the Band left off, I'm glad someone did.
