UnBorn In the U. S. A.

UnBorn down in a dead man’s town
The first kick I took was when I tried to hit the ground
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up

UnBorn in the U.S.A., I was Unborn in the U.S.A.
I was Unborn in the U.S.A., Unborn in the U.S.A.

Got in a little hometown jam
So they put a knife in a doctor’s hand
Trying to send me off to another land
He got to kill this baby, man

UnBorn in the U.S.A...
I was Unborn in the U.S.A.

My sister loves country music. Her only comment ever about ballads is: "I really liked the words and I can relate to what they're saying". I think that possibly, from a CW fan's standpoint, this is the only criterion.

I hate typos, but I make them all the tme.

Cornbag? Thats pretty funny. Look. To many people (myself included) heart on the sleeve contemporary country lacks believability. Too many damn personal pronouns. And those folks have stolen 70's rock and roll production. Bastards.

But this is just that much unslick that you can tell it is real. I don't like (contemporary) country, but here I like the heartfelt confessional lyrics. The background vocals and steel guitars during the first chorus were brilliant. The drum flam thereafter is unfortunate.

See, I think style is unimportant. In each one there is someone who has done it right. When I think of what I like, its like bits and pieces all over.

This just seems real to me. It doesn't sound completely professional. In my opinion, this matter is completely irrelevant. This is beautiful to my ears.

most of country music is cornbag, somehow, a certain population of america, ironically, is more comfortable with certain emotional subjects than the rest of america...

this is a nice contribution, well-produced and performed, clean vocal, a bit careful with your talent, but if it's a debut album, that's understandable, you wanted to make it right... i think once you get more positive feedback, and can handle that experience, you'll loosen up a bit, and do more with what you have...

i bet a lot of women/mothers would really dig this song, i've heard songs of this quality on cmt when i failed to switch the channel after dukes of hazard reruns...

nice job.

No offense but I didn't even listen to this, as soon as I confirmed it was music I voted for it over the other confusing mistake of a submission
