Justin Sandlin - Don't open your mouth unless you have something good to say.

I am not a record buyer...I am a crook!

I'm a genius and you're stupid!!!!

Just kidding, of course. I don't think anyone is that much better than anyone else.

Trippy experimental ambience, makes for a rather pleasant listening experience. It's not going to be on ant top ten count-down, unless someone puts up a new thread list: Top 5 trippiest recordings on Red Fizz...Ha ha! There's some stuff of mine that sounds better backwards than forwards, I can assure you! Keep pushing the boundries, Justin! Three stars: for creativity, experimentalism, and bravery!

well it sounded like it could make a good song intro. Or, just an in-between song thing. Palate cleanser.

It was just me playing around with sound. I don't know what other context it could be used. I don't think it would fit on an album.

are you planning to do anything with this, like, use it as an intro to something else, or was this just an experiment in sound?

it's funny, the screaming reversed vocals are how emotive Italian pop songs sound to me.

it does sound like the whole thing is just reversed, but it doesn't sound like the lyrics were just overdubbed. you sang backwards? good work.

pretty creative.. did you sing the lyrics backwards then reverse the track? that's what it sounds like.. I've tried that before.. it's damn hard. if that's the case I'll come drop some extra stars on this one just for the effort...

This sounds a little backwards.. Is my computer messed up.
It was just chance that I discovered this. I've read about backmasking. It's a technique used to put hidden messages in songs. You play the song backwards and it will reveal hidden lyrics that a singer intentionaly or unintentionaly put into a song.

A great example of this happening is in Led Zeppelin's "A Stairway to Heaven". In the weird verse which starts "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow...", there is a hidden prayer to Satan. If you play the whole entire verse backwards, you will hear lines such as

Here's to my sweet Satan
He'll give you 666

Well, I was wondering if Satan was putting messages into my music. So I started taking all my songs and playing them backwards. When I got to my song "I've Got To Know", I found a strange yet wonderful message in the final chorus of the song. That message was "Love Surrounds Me." Somehow, saying I've Got To Know backwards creates that phrase.

It's an odd but amazing occurance. I was so tickled to have found it that I've posted it here on RedFizz.
