ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

Keep the blues harp...I like the way you musically "turn back the hands of time" in your music. Loads of blueshounds out there, and we could get into this if it were on our "radios" once ina while. What the heck is wrong with simple blues?

Sing, Have you listened to Equinox or even Jesus Pot Pie? Granted I had to use a casio as backup on JPP, and I'll probably drop it down a step, but the guitar is cutting loose. Equinox is one of my personal favs as it captures the feeling I would get a couple times a year before I really lost my mind and went on a rampage.

Everything here is done clean, and recorded well. Just lacks any real exitement for me. Your very good, but this track just feels to safe for me. You're obviously talented, i'd really like to hear what happens when you just throw down and #@&%!in rock out.

Thanks for the encouragement. I know that the job-family-age thing is no excuse, and health is no longer an issue. I'd love to play music with you Bratty. The only thing the bass player is playing is a harp (hopefully). The drummer was a Latin Jazz drummer which explains the style/reserve (the track was recorded in Curacao). Hopefully a band is in the cards.

You're great. Cool song, but I don't think it's reached it's potential. That drum track was terrible. If the drum track wasn't sampled or programmed, your drummer's taken way too many lessons from his drum machine. It's blues, or R&B - lay it back, especially the backbeat. The drum track pretty much destroys the feel of the dong, I mean song. You are way better than that. Get off your ass man, and go get a great band together. You're talented. Go do it.

A converted guitar player? That is a an accomplishment in itself. Nice job here.

Thanks. The bass player was a converrted guitar player with not much time on the bass. I really thought this would get slammed. Nice suprise.

maybe not (stop) the whole band, just something to make me feel like the first line swings me out and then it snaps back.... .

this is tops, one of your better submissions in my opinion, great 5 star vocals, great harp, really, this a great song for this genre, great chorus melody, man you could milk that with some funk... "If I could turn baCK" (stop) "If I could turn back..."... great job. if anything, i just wanted the base player to be a bit funkier, but i still dug his playing.

I think you have a superb, soulful voice and this is a great song with huge potential. It would stand reworking into a variety of different styles - rock, country - but most of all soul. I can imagine this (without the harmonica) with a nice tight horn section and a Stax feel to it.
