ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

Very good song..great guitar work. At first listen I was thinking the drum sound lacked, but as the song played on, I felt the weird drum sound added to the song
All and all..I liked it, and downloaded it. Good Job.

It's a good song, but there are parts that don't work for me. I didn't like the rather muffled snare sound and the acoustic solo was a bit weedy - really ought to have been a good up front electric lead solo, but that's just my personal taste.

Given that this is an old rendition though, I could see that a bit of a brush up and a little spit and polish could take this onto another level.

very nice more grungy punky but with a bit of an electronica kind of feel dude, sweet, almost a zztop fuzztone, not bad at all

Oy vey.....this is absolutely going to be stuck in my head for a while! - - very cool. I didn't even miss the bass guitar, or even notice until someone pointed it out in the comments. There's almost a 'Guided By Voices' feel to this, or if the lyrics were creepy it could be a 'His Name Is Alive' out-take. Grimy and cool as hell!

Hey, thanks for the nice comments on this. I didn't expect such positive reactions to it. It's nice to have it heard after years of neglect on my hard drive!
Commander: I'm planning on trying to get a live setup together pretty soon. I'm not even sure what I'd even play at this point. I've never been much of a live performer. I've played some open mics in the past and played drums for a Junkstar Rocky show once, but that's the extent of it. I don't know where you live, but if you're close by I'd be happy to get together sometime.

Dude you are freakin' awsome. You need to put out some videos, get an agent and a record company anything to start geting you more into the public eye. Are you playing gigs or touring? Do you need a guitarist (not that I could do a tour)?

Not that I want to chase you away from the Fizz or anything but look at the Black Keys, they have very simliar sound to this tune and are selling stuff to the likes of Jeep etc.

Oh and another great pic!

Un-freakin' believable! Rocked my socks off this morning! It sounds even better with me singing back-up on the chorus....For getting me up out of my chair and making me sing out loud, I thank you! Maybe it's of a more generic style of rock-n-roll than the more experimental stuff you do on eohippus, but you do this form better than most who are making a living at it--One tiny spot where the acoustic lead guitar part experienced "timing issues," but other than that, rock-n-roll nectar of the gods!

this song is awesome, instantly moves me, love the simplicity of it, and especially the acoustic guitar lead... I would definitely put this on a Best of Justin Potts... downloaded...

this is cool, definitely a download, instantly hooked me with it's groove, great driving song i bet...
this is an oldish song...3yrs or so. I never put it on an album because it didn't seem to fit in. It is way over-compressed and there's no bass drum! My drum kit consisted of a snare and hi-hats at the time. Incidentally, not long after this Tom (of Junkstar Rocky) sent my old blue sparkle drum set (which I'd had given him like 8 years before) clear across the country to me, much improving the situation.
Thanks for opening your ear-holes to it.
