ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

Overall fun song...I think the female vocal is definatly a little heavy... sounds like the EQ is a little off... boost highs and super highs...leave lows... and cut lots of mids... I think your voice is pretty and that might compliment your sound better. Kazoo at the end was cool...but felt totally out of place with the rest of the track.

me too fringe, I hate when everything sounds all "good" and "properly mixed".

Beside the vocal gelling issues, on a second listen through I realized how mediocre the lyrics to this are. It feels like there's very little personality in it, to me. I think the melody is good and the guitar sounds great, but vocals can make or break a song, and in this instance they could use some all around improvement. Good luck.

I like that kazoo.

I grow weary of totally synched harmonies, especially after the Gin Blossoms and Nickelback

loved it, the base of the female vocal is a bit strong in the mix, i can feel it in my belly, it's a great song, i'm not sure the harmony is there between the two vocalists, not on the level of peter paul and mary or simon and garfunkel, but don't let stop you, doesn't stop me...

I'd say that's pretty accurate, preptile.

the kazoo at the end is great but doesn't fit.

the vocals are good, but the female vocals are too warm or something? She sounds like she's right on the mic and he sounds like he's farther away. I say, bring her vocals down or somehow make them thinner. Whatever that means. Again, they're good, just not mixed right.

Not normal enough to be normal. Not strange enough to be strange. I liked the vocals, different. Sorry, but I haven't got much to say, I enjoyed it.

damn good, this has a very old feel folk think, you know that
I say keep playing and dont worry about synching, and that's some fine guitar playing too

I appreciate the schmaltziness
I hope you plan on a full band, but life is short

I like this song. The music blends with the lyrics well. Good guitar playing The kazoo at the end gives the story a happy-go-lucky ending appropriate for the lyrics. The male vocals tend to overpower the female vocals at times. The female vocals are really good. I would love to hear another song by this group with dominate female vocals.

on one listen, i'm unsure about how the two vocalists gel together. i could be wrong, though, so i'll give that another run through when it gets published, i guess.

I didn't make it to the end of the song....rumor has it there's a kazoo there. God protected me from the evil kazoo by forcing me to pick the other battle contestant rather quickly. Nothing personal, My Ship. I just called you My Ship. Isn't that funny?
