ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

Nice tune, well played and sung. The cello was a little too overused and up front for me though - I felt it distracted from the rest of the song and often overpowered it.

Like the loose feel to it all though - even though it was tightly played. Know what I mean? No? Ah well ...

definitely in the ranks with 60's revivalists, a little Dandy Warhol-ish, but rougher, and, in that sense, better. more natural-sounding. very hip.

I really like the opening and the ooo la la la's. The song is catchy, has nice harmonies and a magnetic beat that draws me in and keeps me listening. Could be a tad longer.

...But sometimes the below-mentioned cliche/well-worn idiom can be used to a song's advantage--While it is of course almost always better to show than to tell, sometimes a great song can come from an amalgam of such "everyday talk"...Paul Westerburg was great at using and not abusing oft-heard phrases.

This song was infectious and bouncy, and I liked it very much overall. qualcom has a point in that there is not much concrete imagery here;a little bit can go a long way in really connecting with the listener. That's how you earn the right to use the occaissional cliche, in just the right way, of course.

The music has no problem connecting with me...Well played and recorded. I liked the flow and arrangement ; kinda Beatles-ish. I remember loving other submissions of yours I've heard in the past and this is another lovely piece. Nice vocals, gorgeous harmonies!

cute, a little formulaic. i think the lyrics lean too heavily on cliches/well-worn idioms: "everywhere you go, there you are," "quick to judge," "gotta make a buck," "only a matter of time."

way juicy. i could have used another 1:30 of this tune. consider extending the arrangement, throw some sort of a middle part in! although i like it as is, a fun two minutes of bounce and cool instrumentation.

(my comment vanished so I'll try again) i was saying that this is a really nice song with lots of hooks throughout but it leaves wanting a slightly more satisfying chorus/main hook (i get the same feeling listening to a lot of the jayhawks stuff is the best way i can describe it). also, love that you chose to keep it a little rough and unpolished on some of the tones/parts .... really gives it life. overal, i'll give it 4 stars.
