ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

No Evil Star - No Evil Star has begun carving a new path with their latest release Beach Reading. The band, hailing originally from Colorado and now residing in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, is fronted by multi-instrumentalist Adam Quane (The Hush Now) and supported by a rotating cast of several of Boston's talented musicians. The group is hailed for their sonic complexity, layering dreamy, shoegaze against informal song forms, and for their thoughtful, conceptual approach. No Evil Star's 2011 release Beach Reading was hailed "a brilliantly executed concept album that produces a few moments of pure contemplative magic, and Quane fully lives up to the lofty goal of even embarking upon such an undertaking." Following the success of the release, the band is focusing on some fun video ideas and developing a unique and live performance with the a focus "on the dance floor." The album can currently be downloaded for free at

did this just post? I hadn't noticed, even though I was expecting it.
Very cool song. It's a bit of a departure for you, it seems to me. I like the atmosphere and how you take your time and leave some openness in there. Great, strange background sounds. Great experimental approach and singing.
