this is #@&%!ing good, guys! very smooth and elegant really. great use of synth, doesn't sound plastic at all. this is kinda along the lines of sufjan stevens, with a little more scream and intensity to it. like the background music of a disquieting dream.

this is a good piece of composition. ruud and aaron said what i thought already. i bet this would be cool slowed down even further on the slow parts

What a stunning, emotive piece went from being background type-a-letter music to very much in the foreground.
Take a bow.

damndog and Ruud...thanks. Leighton's story is kinda sad.

The opening reminds me of Arvo Part. Those descending strings are really sad. I agree with damndog: beautiful

i still love this tune and never FF past it when it comes up on my non-ipod. i love aaron's read on it. reflects the classic desperate and tragic nature of the lament.

Thanks for the nice comments folks. Yes indeed....I would live to hear this piece performed by a full orchestra. Anyone have a spare one laying around they are not using?

yeah, movies, i'm getting late 19th century, victorian girl, running through the woods, stumbling, ripping her dress, trying to get away from her father who wants to stop her from marrying the blacksmith's son

A beautiful piece. Although I think this should be played by a full acoustic orchestra, the composition is perfect and ready for the movies.

Yes, real instruments for synths would carry this aloft. Still nicely done. I say worthy of a Feature film. Paint it black and white.

definitely one of babar klunj's finest compositional works. with a full acoustic orchestra, it would be utterly undeniable. as it was though, we had to recruit yo yo MEZ on cello, itzhak perlMEZ on violin, albrecht MEZyer on oboe, randy newMEZ on piano and selected players from the Harper's Ferry PhilharMEZnik orchestra of west virginia.
This was a Scott Tatina tune originally and then I, Sputnikov, dicked around with it some and this is a remix of my dicking around with it. Thank you for listening.
