Proteus - Based out of Austin, Texas. Our name Proteus is from Greek mythology, a seagod who can tell the future and can change shape at will. Our style is exactly that!! We don't conform to one genre, we like to do what we want because we all have similar but different influences.

The vocal harmonies are the kicker on this tune. Excellent work

Wow, cool band sound in the opening. Unusual vocals. Can I name Gentle Giant....? It's a strange song that might be a little too prog rock long. But extremely well musicianship.

Just me, passing by to hear it again, I already voted... It's an intriguing good enjoyable tune.. after 4 hours of digging through the backstage last night, this was the one I remembered this morning.

I like the easy funky little sway of has spaces where there should be spaces and has a pretty solid groove....the folk music style delivery is something different and it fits...I'm not used to it but I'm sure could :)

For God's sake, someone send these guys some real lyrics. It certainly doesn't approach the musicianship that was Gentle Giant, but their influence and flavor is evident. These placeholder lyrics are this kiss of death, imho. Welcome to Second Stage. It should have been a Feature.

Personally, I like the intro and the first verse, but then I don't care for the "song-songy" round thing that should be the chorus. Nonetheless, you play it and present it really well and I think it has merit. It's a very 70s approach, and I mean that in the best way because we all know that the period from '68 to '75 was Rock's golden era.

great opening and dig those low notes. dig how the vocal melody seems to ping pong around.
