ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

The vocalist is the #@&%!. Straight up. Something in the chorus sounds out of tune. Slide guitar? GREAT keys. Gilmore sounding guitar is right on. This could have been a competent album track on many classic rock major label productions from the past. Relevant? Maybe not, but still strong as hell. I find myself somewhat in awe.

Nice enought R&B-undistinquished lyrics, capable musical performances, but no real fire to promote lift off.

In spite of the pretty dated nature of the song, it's good, and a great white soul vocal performance and keyboard. The lead guitar is a little generic and off for the song.
But great job all around.

great vocal, song carries itself, but isn't quite a hit, hints at one though, like it was a hit, but now it's not, if that makes sense... No way is obviously the hook.

The opening is impressive, but the chorus just doesn't work for me. Too generic, I guess. Good band sound though, as ever

i'd cut the choruses in half. except at the end, of course. i'd like the guitar tone a little fatter, too. the solos may have been a hair long, for a studio recording. live, long solos rule, but not so much on a record unless it's a record of a live performance. that said, i like the sound of this. super courageous lead vocal, really hangin' it out there.
