Hey Will, you think this is stuck in your head? Try listening more than 60 times during tracking and mixdown. Then see if it doesn't become the freaking soundtrack to your life for a while.

Bab's annual bump. Yes, what a magical musical incantation. Hope Isla Fen is having fun studying radiology science. I have not heard from her in forever, which is apparently a very long time. I deeply miss my witchy muse.

Yeah, this is the #@&%!ing one! Much more my speed, and I love the vocals lack of care for normal phrasing until WHAM a line will just line up so nicely. And at 2 minutes its my favorite song length too.. Short and sweet FTW

A word to those who might join us: A rather smart jump suit and Nike slippers will be provided. Groon Lake does not require head shaving and testicle removal for you to see the stars. Such devotional acts of commitment are entirely optional.

Richie Isaacs has joined Groon Lake-for better or worser-one project or many. Time will reveal what is to come all in the by and by. We are not exactly a group and not exactly a cult. I am not exactly Jim Jones and that delightful beverage you have just been offered is not exactly Kool Aid. If you feel you can bring a unique talent to the mix, then by all means, join us.

We wuz doin some line dancin' the other day to this very song. David Bowie was saying that you must write lyrics the same way he does...This does bear some resemblance to Young Americans,(don't tell me you don't hear it too, or is it just me?) but has been given a futuristic B52s twist to it. The vocals are self-assured and words are enunciated well...and it works! David Byrne, eat your heart out!
Such amazingly fun and quirky vocals with stand out personality....lyrics that bend the mind just a bit, take me on a trip. Nice work! (This would be great on a party tape if I ever made one...)

Funny when you do these things and the melodies are imprinted for awhile you think, wow, I think just wrote the most memorable melody in history! - and then three days later, you have to concentrate to recall it (unless, of course, you did).

The new wave kind of vocals on a country tune, basically, gels well. Maybe this kind of thing has been done before, way back in the New Wave era --I'm sure it was(though I can't recall just who) -- but, nevertheless, it sounds innovative, yet not painfully so, and that's a good trick.

Travel? You bet. It came from Alberta as a demo with Garageband backing and one third faster. The vocals were timeshifted down and I began adding instruments to replace the guide tracks. We must have shopped it to more than five drummers before WILLBMUSIC in Burlington, NC finally coughed up one that worked. Babar Klunj did his Fred Frith homage in West Virginia and emailed the result. Only Jim's pedal steel and my tracks were done here at stately Groon manor in Raleigh, NC.. Distance is no longer a barrier for friends to create together. Isla Fen inspired us all with her sweet loopy brilliance.

Well, most country I heard was someone caterwauling bout their dawg running off with their wife on the back of their John Deereā„¢ Tractor before being abducted by aliens on the south-west paddock...this aint one of those.
Ayuh, this is sufficifiently different, surreal lyrics over something warm and familiar with the lovely Ms. Fen and the Super Session Player Ensemble in fine form.
Lets get metaphysical, y'all.

Well, I was struck by Metatron's Cube
The art science consciousness of sacred geometry
Structure involves quantity
Patterns involve quality
The left brain and the right brain study of the whole
Well, Metatron's Cube is the scribe of the gods
Of Hermes and of Thoth
Archemedian solids are truncated their corners are cut off
There are 5 platonic solids
Connected to midpoints
Symmetry to infinity
Metatron's Cube I'm obsessed with you
And your golden ratio

There are 3 dimensions up and down
Left and right and back and forth again
Metatron's Cube I love you
You're so damn cool
