it grew on me more by the second listen. there's a warmth looming in all this coolness, i think.

Came back for headphone listens. Makes love to my ears. This analogous to the lite-rail controversy going on here in North government stimulus Carolina, but maybe I am hallucinating again. The idea of building a song around a tribal tom tom is absolute brilliance. This is the best of the fizz.

yeah, what QC says......reminds me of a lot of stuff, but I must say it sounds as pro as anything out there, I guess I'm thinkin old Peter Gabriel stuff or even some Bjork type stuff..kind of that "breakthrough period" in the 80s where everything seemed new and different in a Max headroom kinda sense. Neat Motif. It's organical mechanical robotic and yet looks cuddly like teddy bear

other things these squinks, bleeps, and groinks remind me of: that sound your stomach makes when it's emptying out; that ascending scale you hear in blade runner when rutger hauer kisses a dead daryl hannah's tongue back into her mouth; wet farts.

i was kind of hoping the cicada symphony would crank up louder and fuzzier in the last verses, but whatevs, this is splendid.

I actually kinda liked this song. It was kind of fun though I wasn't too crazy about the vocals. That, and I don't care for the lyrics either but its nothing personal. I just don't care for lyrics in general. Nice job.

Long time no Blasto. Damn well worth the wait, though. I imagine listening to this many more times. I'll be back.

this sounds like a cross between Tom Waits' "Clap Hands" and Becks "Clap Hands".

I liken this almost to the work of a master tradesman. It's always quality work. People may take some time to appreciate the craft, or it may go over their heads, but it's kind of like the rainfall of diamonds if you do get into the right mindset. Bravo

Heya Chris - all the bleeps & bloops & garbled mess sounds are little electronic doo-dads I made, as well as this cool oooold broadcast test-tone/ function generator box I found in a storage area. Good question though, but it's all live, with only a synced tremolo to match tempo.

I'm having a hard time with music like this lately. It just seems like humbled 80's music. Truthfully though, I wouldn't compare this to all the indie music that I've heard that sounds like it because I know that your not some hep 20 something with protools and reason cranking out polished crap. My future has circuit bending in it. I have been checking out noise music and have seen some noise shows and was very disappointing how hands off they all were in making their gear. I'd like to know how much of this was computers and how much of this was a blasto creation. This is awesome blasto.

Pretty cool. Production and sounds are superb. The song itself walks on Beck territory which is fine, but a more personal tone would certainly give this more impact.
