this would be an awesome soundtrack for like a time lapse film of ants building an anthill or something. probably could have started a fade out at around the 4:15 mark.

This is nice! Starts off reminding me of something Dave Stewart would play (no, not THAT one; the one that played with Bruford in the early '80's), but it moves on. I love when the strings come in about the 1:30 mark. The jazzy organ adds a nice flare, too. Wonderful production. I think the anthill film would be fitting. The ending doesn't feet quite like an ending to me, but otherwise, awesome!

frankly, i hear ya dude, but syncopation and basing it on fourths is sometimes just easier, that's my only excuse, but otherwise i totally agree. it gets old.

thanks all. yeah, richie, i wish i could hook up with a graphic artist/filmmaker to try and put some visuals to go with my tracks. . . i always have the impression of some kind of scene as i go (probably a side effect of growing up with MTV)

its my favorite of yours so far but you started off with heavy syncopation but its not syncopated as in it doesnt weave around the beat. Its too straightahead for my taste. I really thought it was going to break away from 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 or at least wrap around it. It reminded me of sun ra in the beginning and then just got real snoozy. Good sounds, good production.
