ghengus23: great down dirty country rock feelin' from the start. Reminds me of social distortion. Not sure if...

The Transgressions - 3-piece from Madison, WI.
Short, catchy pop-punk about failed relationships and drug use.
Yeah, it's been done before but we do it different.

I'm glad you all like it! I think our use of "too much"/heavy distortion in pop punk is one of the things that sets us apart. We are strong believers in fantastic tone (and we all have backgrounds in hardcore). I'm uploading a new song now!

I like this. The drunk and depressed is a little depressing, of course, but it's good.
Hey, the NY scene, Britpunk etc., was the 2nd wave, not 1st wave.
Mid-60s garage proto-punk was the first wave. Talk-Talk/Music Machine was one of the coolest punk songs ever, in '66.
But, yeah, it was fully realized in the late '70s.

The shorter the better!
Lotsa energy, tight outfit, catchy tune.
Production wise too much distortion in the guitar imho.
You've got the skills, don't hide it in layers of mush.
It will give the tune even more edge & urgency.
Think late 70s britpunk en the early NY scene.
Instead of 2nd wave US skate punx
Just my opinion.

I want to drive an 18 wheeler truck into some cars while a bunch of police chase me into the sunset. This song will be the overture.
off our 7" split with the side project
