kinda zevon meets costello, but with a sweet little guitar solo that couldn't possibly fit any better, timing wise and thematically! a great song, well-written and well-executed.

Oooh nice, love the Epi dots and the fact they don't have the Gibson ES series price-tag! had a Epi Paul I threw a DiMarzio into which changed the whole feel of the guitar.
You make it sound damn good :o)

Thanks, Don! I'm glad you dig it. And Richie: thanks for the guitar encouragement. It's my Epiphone Dot through a Behringer V-amp. That combo can produce some pretty cool tones.

Thanks for listening and commenting, folks. Always appreciate it. Yeah, this song really could use a singer with higher comfort zone. Hmmm...where can I find one of those? I've never really listened to XTC, but I've others make that comparison with this song. Might have to check them out.

For a second or two I thought it was a CCR cover in the intro but then the moment passed, sweet tune with one damn sweet guitar solo, lovely tone! :o)
