Upon further review: I think you're right. I think that it was wrong for you to leave comments like - "half a star for having the guts to post this trash" and then turn around and say you don't like attacks.

That said: you have the right to object to my observation and I should stick to the merits of a critique of the song at hand. Good call.

Whether or not you like me or my comments on other folks' songs, I would appreciate being judged for the song, and the song alone. Personal attacks are not my style, and they shouldn't be your style, either. The best comment for a song you don't like, if you cannot be constructive, is no comment at all. Thank you all for listening.

I love this song, very simple but very honest..I have a #@&%!load of friends, here and damn close to where you live, who do almost exactly what you do and I LIKE it like that, it's familiar and safe and damn well made(after 20 years of plating loud music this most welcome)
Yeah, your comments on others songs are a bit off, as why bother commenting on #@&%! you aint into (no one likes an opinion suppository) but your music is sweet, mate.

yee haw I spot me a Willie clone. I liked your stuff but your comments on other artists here was a real turnoff. I was going to be nice but now I'm 2 starring your song. Maybe I'll even say the song is terrible. How's that?

Sweet song, very safe & a familiar format but sometimes, as I've said before, familiarity is just what you need.
Nice work.

A little "soft" for my tastes, but very well executed, and I always admire a storyteller.

If qc climbs in out of the depths of nowhere to declare something muppety, you know I got to check it out and weigh in. qc wouldn't know muppety if Kermit bit his dick off. This is the kind of good music I can't help but support. Good for repeated listens. Nice job. Tell that hippy to get a hair cut and pay attention to that sign.
Just Jump In

I was five years old at the fishin' hole,
Just my brother, Paul, and me.
I'd been wading in that hole
Since I was barely three.
Paul yelled out, "I dare you"
He said, "Come on, just jump in!"
I yelled back, "I can't, I'm scared,
And you know I can't swim."
Paul said he would help me
If I put my trust in him.
So I stood there, looked at the sky and then...

I held my breath,
I closed my eyes,
And I jumped in.
As I hit the water,
My head began to spin.
Suddenly, I realized,
I'd begun to swim...
I held my breath,
I closed my eyes,
And I jumped in.

Ten years later, behind the barn,
With a girl named Becky Sue
She said if she kissed me,
Would I kiss her too?
I told her that I was scared,
That it was my first time.
She said it was easy,
Just let her lips touch mine.
She put her arms around me,
And I felt myself give in...
So I stood there, I held her close and then...

I held my breath,
I closed my eyes,
And I jumped in.
As I felt our lips meet,
My head began to spin.
I thought out loud,
"Now this is something worth remembering."
I held my breath,
I closed my eyes,
And I jumped in.

Everyone has something
That they're afraid to do.
Don't let swimming
Or kissing
Or living
Get the best of you...

Just hold your breath,
And close your eyes,
And jump right in.
As things start to happen,
Your head may start to spin.
That's the way it always goes
When something new begins,
Just hold your breath,
Close your eyes,
And jump right in.

Jump right in...Baby jump right in.
Jump right in...Baby jump right in.
