How come every time I think you're starting to screw up, you're not, you're just doing something I never would have thought of in a million years? That outro is just F'n' cool as hell.

Jonathan is a rare and beautiful creature; sort of last the last singing specimen of a bird species arbitrarily hunted to extinction. Jon is man out of time and perhaps out of world.

I think the best thing i could say about this, is from the beginning to the end, I am honestly interested in what you're doing here. I can't say why, and i can't even say what it is about what you're doing that had me wanting to listen so closely, but whatever it is, you're doing it right. I hope we get to hear more from you, this is really neat stuff, creative, and very interesting. You have a very good grasp on song-writing and technique, I quite enjoy this, and I happen to think the background noise is a really awesome element.

Love the way the piano sounds quirky slightly out ..the composition is excellent dark and entertaining....the scratchy sound of the recording adds to the character of the song...normally i would find it offensive but it works for this tune...Extremely well done

Thanks folks. The background noise is New York City. I live in a very noisy part of it. The noises of buses, cars, rain, people, and sirens and construction are bouncing off these huge buildings from a distance below. They're sort of like instruments themselves. I can't really avoid them. I admit to being mostly self taught in recording and I use fairly cheap tech now, sometimes just the mic that comes with my laptop because I get too excited to set up an ideal recording situation. I also try to salvage bad quality recordings if I like my playing. So all this makes noise. But, if you could hear the whistling of bus brakes from here and how they travel gently to the back of your skull, you might admit, it's pretty beautiful.

i'm very curious about your recording process, especially that background noise that you have running through all your recordings. i definitely like this one better than some of your others. it's a pretty cool and orginal sound that you got going.
