Really like this, such a relief to hear something original after being stuck in a car with classic rock or jazz as my best choices. Reminds me a bit of Sugar Ray, but that's a good thing. I dig this.

A lot of it is the player. I downloaded the MP3 and it sounded way better. The cymbals take over the mix 1/3 of the way in though. All - in - all good tune anyways.

All the criticism of this cool song is intended to be constructive. So take what's helpful and leave absolutely everything else. Apology accepted, rock on Sloth!

sorry...i got a little defensive in that comment. a lot of effort in a very short amount of time was put into making this song. i felt a little insulted that you think it sounds like it was done in a bedroom when it was actually done in a college project studio. makes me rethink my methods of producing and all the time i have put into to get better. my biggest problem with the track that i cant change at this point is that the vocals are in stereo. the original is lo-fi bedroom to the max. either way it is not album worthy, but it was fun.

in regards to your comment, sports. this is one of my earlier songs that i re-recorded for a friends music class project. It was recorded/mixed with a very large time constraint in a college studio. I don't think preamps make as big of a deal to pristine audio quality as you say. tube preamps provide slight coloring and give audio a warm sound, but the main point of a preamp is for more headroom as far as gain. the key to a pristine audio recording is good mic placement, a good take, and good eq...personally i like how the song sounds.but if you think that it sounds like it was recorded in a bedroom then that is your opinion.

likable. feels a little like you're sticking to close to home base, a little experimentation would improve your sound a great deal i believe. keep at it, good stuff.

do you have a preamp? because you're obviously putting effort into your playing and recording but it sounds a little more bedroom than it has to, i think. i started running my mic through a mixer and my sounds became pristine. good luck to you.
